How To'sAnna asks Elsa, "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Wait, we are not building a snowman. We will draw a snowman.
Snowmen are fabulous for drawing objects for kids in winter, especially when winter is around. There's all snow, and the weather looks adorable - keeping aside the chilly wind and snow deposit on the road and front yard. This guide is perfect for beginners and kids.
As you are very excited to draw a snowman, you will need the right tools, and we mean - drawing essentials. Here's what you will need -
We have curated simple yet cute instructions for an adorable snowman. You can do this activity in class, with friends and family. Add it to your bucket list to draw snowmen and hang them in your home.
Now, to draw a snowman, sharpen your pencil and take a white paper, light your fireplace, and you can start drawing them following the steps below -
Begin by drawing a dome or a rectangular shape with a brim to represent the top hat. Make a little curved rectangle below the brim to serve as the starting point for the scarf wrapped around the snowman's neck.
Make a rounded bracket between the hat and the scarf to make the face of the snowman. Make a rounded semicircle below the scarf and bulge at the bottom to give it a more fatty belly appearance. Also, do not worry about the perfections; snowballs are never perfect.
This is the step where you will add tiny details to the snowman. Details make the drawing look a bit realistic. Draw two button-shaped eyes with a sleeping triangle in between the eyes to make a nose. Add two circles on the belly. You can also add a mouth. In addition, you can also add a carrot as a nose, and maybe some glasses!
Now that the body is ready, you must draw arms for your snowman. Add a straight line on both sides of the belly and add a mitten at each end of the line. You can accentuate the scarf by drawing a little triangle to give the effect of a flying scarf at the side of the arm.
Snow is usually white, so you don't have to color the snowman. Instead, you can color the hat, the scarf, and the mittens. You can also draw patterns on the scarf and the mittens to show creativity.
If you want to accentuate or upgrade the snowman, you can draw the surroundings, with blue sky and snow all over the ground, with your snowman in the middle. You can use your distinct imagination and draw as you like - there are no rules in the drawing. Your Mr. Snowman is ready; you can use it for different purposes. You can use it as a card stamp, put it on the gift wrapper, or frame it as a trophy.
Drawing snowmen is easy; if you are a beginner, you can start by drawing a simple snowman and adding teeny-tiny details. However, if you are a pro, start by color-washing the paper and paint a snowman the way you like. Also, you can try sketching them to flush out your inner creativity.
